Château Nineyrol looks out across the Dordogne river valley to the Château of Castelnaud. This south facing house was rebuilt in 1860 on medieval Cellars, by a returning war hero from Napoleons army. The present owners bought and restored the house in 2003. This home is perfectly central for a dream holiday in the Dordogne's 'golden triangle' Beynac, Domme and the final jewel, medieval Sarlat.
Walk up the either of the gracefully curving stone steps to the front door and enter a wide elegant hallway with doors leading off to the sitting room and dining room. High ceilings, tall shuttered windows and a mixture of English and French antiques furnished with grace and charm, all combine for a truly relaxing vacation.
There are five double bedrooms, one with twin beds, two have European Queen size beds and the other two are European King size. All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and three with a bath. Robes, towels and faces cloths are all provided.
The sitting room is equipped with a widescreen TV and english satellite channels. Both the sitting room and kitchen open onto a covered courtyard with a large dining table seating for 12. A recently updated kitchen with a vaulted ceiling is fully equipped to cater for large groups. Chateau Nineyrol has been host to a couple of wedding parties and regularly for large family gatherings.
