WALKING ...

Walkers love this area, loads of places to visit within an easy stroll, and we are prepared to transport you further a field for those that like a more strenuous hike.

THE PREHISTORIC CAVES ...

Prehistoric caves abound, from the fabulous cave paintings at Lascaux, for which you will need an appointment in high season, to the smaller but no less significant caves all

just a short drive away.

BIKE HIRE ...

We have a few bikes, and have access to more, it’s fun here, lots of hills if you like, or the river road if not. The French motorist is very careful with cyclists and gives them a wide berth.

CANOEING ...

Canoeing is a must, the Dordogne is fun surrounded by magnificent scenery, and the nearest canoe station a few minutes walk. They will take up river as far as you want to go, provide the equipment and help you into the water to travel down again at your own pace.

VISITING THE CHATEAUX ...

Visit the chateaux all the around the area many linked with English history, some within walking distance, all very used to tourists and geared to visitors of all ages.
